Apptopia Launches Mobile App

Jonathan here.  As many of you know, I am the founder of Apptopia and I wanted to give you some insight into a brand new product we are launching into Beta today (only for current Apptopia users).

Today we released native iOS & Android apps called “Apptopia Dashboard”.  At its most simple level, the app allows you to real-time (as soon as available) track downloads, revenues, and reviews for all of your apps.  Note, these apps are optimized for both your phone and your tablet.

One of my favorite things about Apptopia, is that our company is built on a lot of really interesting technology.  As a result, there are a lot of valuable things we can do for you (our users) in addition to helping you sell your apps.  We thought having a clean and simple way to track your app’s success was the next best use.

You can download the apps here:

App Store:

Google Play:

If you already have your developer accounts connected to Apptopia you should be able to log in with your Apptopia credentials and see your dashboard right away.  If you have not done this yet, you can connect your account right in the app (or via the “Connections” section of as you always have been).  Below I am going to dive into the features a bit, as well as what should be expected for Version 2 (~1 month).

Current Features

View all of your apps, and all of your data in one place!

With so many apps, in so many different developer accounts, and on so many app stores…our Dashboard App helps you make some sense of all the chaos.

Keep an eye on downloads, revenue, and reviews with our quick view

Using the filter in the top right easily see how your app has performed over the last 7 days, 30 days, 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months.

Dive deeper into any metric to see a full screen graph.  This is great for understanding trends over a specific period.

Tap or drag your finger across any data point to see more information.  These graphs are especially powerful on your iPad or tablet.

We spent a lot of time building functionality into the app which would allow you to connect your developer account right in the app (without having to open up a webpage or even worse…your computer).

Note: this is the first app in existence today which allows you to connect your developer account directly in the app.  We are working to make this process even more seamless, as there are still a few use cases which will require you to visit  So, we would love any feedback on how we could make this smoother, or more transparent.  We find most accounts connect in about 5-7 minutes (depending on # of apps in your account), so feel free to minimize the app while it connects, it will keep working in the background!

What’s Next

As happy as we are about this first version, we are already itching to get back under the hood.  Other than a little needed cleanup to the design, we are going to focus our efforts over the next month exclusively on new data.  We plan to add the following:

-       Track your apps ranks (in any country / category)

-       Get notified when your app is featured via push notification

-       Track AdMob revenue

-       More detailed insight into ratings & reviews

-       Active Installs (for Android apps)

-       Ability to filter downloads & revenue by country

Your Feedback

Remember, we are sharing this with you before promoting it at all to the general public.  One of the reasons for doing that is because we want to learn.  You are our community and our life line.  Your feedback is quite important to us.  We would love to hear about both bugs and requests for new features / improvements.
