Boston, MA – September 15, 2021 —Apptopia, the leader in real-time competitive intelligence, today announced the appointment of Arun Gupta as Senior Vice President of Sales. Gupta brings more than 10 years of relevant experience to the position, having served as a lead revenue driver at multiple mobile-first organizations. In his new role, Gupta is focused on building out cross-departmental processes and streamlining sales activities to accelerate revenue growth.
“Having been in mobile for the past decade, I’ve watched Apptopia mature into the company it is today,” said Gupta. “Now, I’m incredibly excited to be part of the journey, helping usher Apptopia into a new era of growth— one which will be defined by the expansion and evolution of our core data sources.”
Gupta got his start in mobile at two high-profile ad networks, Bydd and Millennial Media (now One by AOL). He then took his experience to mobile marketing attribution platform Adjust, where he grew from an individual contributor, and the first U.S.-based employee, to Vice President of Sales. In his six-year tenure there, Gupta built out Adjust’s New York and San Francisco offices, and helped lead the company to $100 million in ARR. Later, he became the CEO of Attribution.
“We’re fortunate to be at a stage where we’re attracting some of the best talent in mobile, including one of the strongest sales leaders in Arun Gupta,” said Apptopia CEO Jonathan Kay. “Arun’s experience in the attribution space gives us valuable insight into major brands and publishers. We are confident that his knowledge will be key as we work to expand our relationships within this market segment.”
Gupta has a degree in Marketing and Economics from Santa Clara University, and his Executive MBA from Columbia Business School. He was born in the U.K., has lived on both coasts of the U.S., and has traveled to six out of seven continents. No matter where he rests his head at night, you can likely find him dreaming about the Las Vegas Raiders muttering, “Just win, baby.”
