Boston, MA – April 7, 2021 —Apptopia, a market leader in mobile app intelligence, today announced that Tom Grant has joined its team as director of equity research. Grant brings more than 15 years of experience to the position, having served on both the buy and sell-side of the financial market. In his new role, Grant will lead a team of analysts, and grow Apptopia’s research product to better support financial services clients.
Prior to joining Apptopia, Grant was a senior research analyst at Copper Rock Capital Partners, where he covered stocks globally with a focus on emerging markets. His experience also includes nearly 10 years at The Boston Company, where he excelled as an international equity research analyst & portfolio manager. In the weeks leading up to Grant’s appointment to Apptopia, he served as a consultant to the company. It’s this experience that sold him on the power and potential of Apptopia’s data offerings.
“After exploring Apptopia’s dataset and testing its capabilities, I knew I was in the right place,” said Grant. “Our current offerings just scratch the surface of how this data can be used to improve the investment process. When Grant is not poring over thousands of data points, he’s spending time with his wife and four sons, ages 7-14. If raising children in that age group is not impressive enough for you, he’s also an elected official in the town of Reading, MA, and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Old South Church in Boston.
