TV Ratings are only a piece to the puzzle now. No longer can we look at them and determine a show’s success. You will no doubt come across many articles speaking to yearly decline in TV ratings for NFL games. The thing is, it makes perfect sense that this is happening as every year, more and more people either cut cable or prefer to watch on streaming services.
We looked at all apps capable of streaming a live NFL game to see if they were boosted by the start of this NFL season. They were. The image below displays the top 10 apps for MAU and the top 10 apps for downloads, in terms of growth percentage from August to September.
