In reviewing Apptopia performance estimates for several top dating apps, The Wall Street Journal found new installs for Bumble and Badoo have been rising while those of Tinder and Hinge have been falling. This, along with other available information, led the reporter to believe BMBL may be undervalued and investing in the company could be viewed as "safe."
You can see user sessions for October and November are trending higher for both Bumble and Badoo than what they averaged in the third quarter on a monthly basis. Sessions are a metric which we've found to be highly correlated with subscriber numbers for Match Group. So far this quarter, our estimated indicate that user sessions are growing faster for Bumble than for Tinder on a sequential basis.
